2. Read this short definition of information literacy ("Information Literacy Defined") http://www.ala.org/acrl/standards/informationliteracycompetency#ildef. Do you agree that in this day and age the concept of "literacy" means more than just knowing how to read and write?
Yes, I would agree. The definition never says that it is strictly only reading it says "recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information." . I do feel that reading literacy is necessary to have a literacy in any other area of work.
